Mu Alpha Theta is a math national honor society.  Its main purpose is to uphold excellence and enjoyment in Mathematics.  It encourages those students who have high abilities and interest in Mathematics by stretching their minds to reach their highest potentials.  As membes of Mu Alpha Theta we are encouraged to become mentors and tutors for students in need of assistance in Math.  Our goal is to show that math can be fun while learning.

Mu Alpha Theta will be attending the Math and Science Fair in March 2007 at Jackson State University where they will present an exhibit and compete in a Math Bowl.
 
     
 
Members are currently volunteering time to math students as peer tutors and also volunteering in the community.  Each member has been requested to volunteer a minimum of 25 hours.
