“Enhancing Today’s Minds to Lead Tomorrow’s Futures”
As an educator, mother, sister, daughter, wife, and your school principal, I have come to learn that people are made up of many different characteristics. A school must be supervised and unified with all intricate parts interwoven to become an effective and cohesive educational organization. Good leaders develop through a never-ending process of self-study, education, training, and the most valuable one of all, experience. As I reflect on this process from day to day, I know that I must be motivated, inspired and dedicated to carry out the mission for the greater good of Lanier High School, the District, and this great state.
As your instructional leader, I often find myself studying, and re-evaluating past actions and my leadership style. I believe the best leaders are those who continually work and study ways to improve their leadership.
As I close, I feel the need for you to better understand me, my leadership styles and my endless quest for the betterment of children. While there is no single thought or document that can teach you everything you need to know about me, I can say that my best representation for every decision I make is simply this; to conceive and radiate a team approach, to maintain commitment, to persist in determination, and to maintain the faith and will to survive and thrive among seemingly insurmountable obstacles. |
