    Did you know that poor school attendance can influence whether children read proficiently by the end of third grade and that chronic absence becomes a factor in a student’s decision to drop out of school as early as the sixth grade?

  • G.E.N.T.S Program

    Grooming and Empowering Noble, Talented, Scholars-We have implemented a G.E.N.T.S. program to teach our boys how to develop into young men. Every other week, our boys in grades 3-5 are introduced to a topic from Principal Kafela’s Message to Your Son.

  • College Spirit Week

    Touch a Truck activity- On Thursday, September 15, 2016 we celebrated Community Helpers Day as part of our College Spirit Week activities. Scholars dressed for the community helper that they would like to be in the future.

JPS Proud Dexter Whitley


    A member of the Class of 2000 from Callaway High School, Dexter Whitley is a law student at the University of Miami. He was a university professor and credits his success at achieving his goals to a great foundation established in JPS schools.
