WJTV profiled Callaway and Murrah high schools during its early morning newscast on September 7, 2012, the day the two schools are expected to meet on the gridiron for one of the city's most notable football and half-time rivalries. More than 1,400 students in grades nine through 12 wear the blue and gray representing the Murrah High School Mustangs. Callaway's Chargers wear blue and orange. More than 1,100 students attend the school.

The much anticipated event, called the "Super Bowl of JPS" by one student, is one that traditionally is well-attended. Game time for Callaway-Murrah is 7:30 p.m. at Newell Field. Admission is $6.
