Extended Learning Solutions, LLC (ELS) offers parents in Jackson Public Schools a well-rounded, child-centered after-school program for the students ages 5 to 12. A fee-based program, ELS provides students with academic and enrichment activities along with homework time, arts and crafts, recreation, and a nutritious snack.

Qualified teachers and assistants facilitate Language Arts and Math activities for approximately 30 minutes a day, Monday through Thursday. The small student-teacher ratio allows hands-on assistance that complements the children's regular academic day.

Each child attending ELS receives the equivalent of two hours a week in the small group, academic component. The interest zones include some of the following topics: creative writing, listening centers, arts and crafts, educational games, reading centers, character development, and quiet areas.

All programs differ slightly as they are designed to fit the needs of the school and its students.
