February 12, 2024 – JPS seeks input of stakeholders each year on the Comprehensive Needs Assessment Survey to improve services to scholars. The survey ends March 11, 2024.
February 1, 2024 – Black History Month is a time to recognize our heritage and achievements as Black Americans. This year, we recognize some homegrown history makers.
January 18, 2024 – Due to issues with water pressure and heat, we are continuing to implement virtual learning until we can ensure facilities are adequate for our students to return.
November 15, 2023 – Junior League of Jackson presented a check to JPS to fund Mini-Grants for teacher projects that enhance and support the JPS curriculum. More than 20 projects were funded in grades K-12.

Let's celebrate Read Across America Week by showing your school spirit. On Monday, March 4, guest readers are invited to read to scholars from 8:00-10:00 am. There will be a free book distribution for all scholars, courtesy of a JPS RIF grant.
Galloway's School-level spelling bee was held December 19, 2023. Dana Williams, 5th grade scholar, will advance to the Hinds County Spelling Bee on January 29th at Raymond High School.
